Final design review passed, now it's down to connectors
The board passed its final design review with the team, datasheet requirements and routing both signed off. All that's left before production is picking the headers that connect it to the rest of the system.
Had the final design review with my team today.
Everyone agreed the board follows all the datasheet specifications and the routing is done well. It’s ready for production.
One thing left: deciding which headers we use to attach this motherboard to the rest of the system.
That’s turned into its own discussion. We’re trying to find the best way to be affordable with connectors while thinking about manufacturability, crimping, and everything else you need for a system that’s long lasting. Cost on one side, crimping and assembly on the other, and it all has to last.
So the last step for this board is one last review once the headers are picked.
I’m excited to put the bill of materials together and send this off to our PCB fab.
